On November 25, 2020, the China Cereals and Oils Association organized relevant experts in Beijing to review the project "New Process Technology Equipment for Walnut Oil Production and Research and Application of Protein Utilization".
At present, my country's walnut oil product structure is single, resource utilization is low, and processing technology is backward. In addition, the deep processing of walnuts started late and the development is relatively lagging, resulting in the lack of overall global competitiveness of the walnut industry. Therefore, it is urgent to carry out in-depth and multi-faceted development of walnuts to obtain better economic value.
Experts believe that the "New Process Technology Equipment for Walnut Oil Production and Research and Application of Protein Utilization" project has created a new process technology route of low-temperature hydraulic and two-stage screw pressing, with high oil yield and good oil quality. Low-temperature defatted walnut cakes are more conducive to the development and utilization of edible protein, and realize the continuous and automated production of walnut pressing and oil production; the development and application of key equipment such as walnut peeling machine, shelling machine, horizontal hydraulic oil press, etc., solved the technical problems of walnut pretreatment pressing and oil production; in addition, the process technology and optimization conditions of water enzyme extraction of walnut protein were studied in depth, laying the foundation for the development and utilization of walnut protein.
The expert group unanimously agreed that the project provides technical support for the sustainable development of the walnut industry and that the overall technology has reached international advanced levels.
